Woodridge Bulldogs To Continue Play At College Level
Five members of the 2005 Woodridge High School Football
Team, Kevin Bell, Tyler Maddox, Ryan Pratt,
Bryan Rastok and Brett Crocker have signed letters of intent to continue play at the college
level.
Kevin Bell, a Bulldog captain, committed to play
with the College of Wooster
Fighting Scots. Bell was the Bulldogs
2005 Defensive Player of the Year and was an Honorable Mention
All Portage County League Team selection. Ryan
Pratt will join
Bell at Wooster. Pratt, also a team captain, was a standout at
defensive tackle for Woodridge.
Tyler Maddox, a team captain and
Interior Defensive Lineman of the Year for the Bulldogs, has
committed to play for the Baldwin
Wallace Yellow Jackets. Maddox,
a three year starter at linebacker, lead the team in tackles in
2005 with 47 solo tackles, 31 assists and 4 sacks. Maddox was also
a Portage County League Honorable Mention selection.
Bryan Rastok,
the team's leading rusher with 1196 yards, has made his commitment
to continue play for the Ohio Northern
Polar Bears. Rastok was
also a team captain and Portage County League Team Honorable
Mention selection.
Brett Crocker, the Bulldogs 2005
Team Most Valuable Player, Portage County League First Team and
Honorable Mention All Northeast Ohio Inland Team selection has
also made his commitment but for baseball. Crocker has signed with Youngstown
State University.
Crocker was standout at defensive back and receiver for the Bulldogs
in 2005. As a three year starter for the Bulldog Baseball team,
his stats are even more impressive then what he accomplished on
the football field and will certainly continue at the college level.
Please wish these Bulldogs the best of luck as they continue on
with their playing careers at the college level.

Senior Led Bulldogs End 2005 Season With 2 Game
Win Streak
It took the 2005 edition of the Woodridge Bulldog
football team until week number 9 to score their first victory
and week 10 for a victory over Waterloo with no time left on the
clock to give the team its first 2 game winning streak since 2002.
The Senior Bulldogs would not be denied in the last season of their
high school careers. They practiced hard each week and played even
harder on Friday nights which culminated in the victories in their
final 2 games. Not only has this group of Seniors left the underclass
with the responsibility to carry on the win streak but have hopefully
left their mark on what next years Bulldogs will need to do to
prepare, focus and perform. Despite losing the solid play and leadership
of this talented group, the underclass should be able to capitalize
on the very valuable playing time and game experience they got
this season. There is no doubt that the 2006 edition of the Woodridge
High School Football Bulldogs will carry-on the streak and continue
to make gains in the win column. GO DOGS!!!!!!!
